WELCOME TO Jannah

A constellation hotel in Shela Village, on the Island of Lamu - a place of vivid, barefoot childhood memories for Anna Trzebinski.

Anna’s latest project is our “Constellation Hotel”, incorporating a growing number of buildings around the old village square with a series of shared outdoor areas. The project also features four lovingly restored traditional wooden boats.

The artistic community will be woven into this project through the village in the form of the “Shela Rooftop Artist in Residence”, a program under Anna's Eden Project, launching 2025/2026. Anna plans for this Constellation Hotel and its offshoots to have a significant social impact on the village, and for visitors to benefit from this magical, deeply traditional place.

Inspired by the culture and pristine marine nature, Jannah Lamu was born, expressing one woman’s love for a place that has played many important roles in her life and paved the way to a new chapter. Its name translates from the Arabic word for “paradise” and aims to offer a particularly different experience to visitors.
